Candlelight Painting

Mini Retreat

with Maggie

An immersive evening and following morning intuitive painting workshop for broken-hearted women ready to free their creative spirit.

You’re a sensitive, deep-thinking woman who’s pulled in so many directions all the time.

You’re a rockstar at holding it together, but self-care is last on the priority list. Sure, you fit in hot yoga classes and bubble baths, but you’re not making time for the deeper connecting-with-self work.

We need to grieve lost friendships and romantic partnerships, disappointed fantasies, and unfulfilled expectations. These all deserve our attention so that we can lose the resentment and really mean it when we lead with love.

Am I right?

It’s possible to trust yourself again AND to feel deeply creative!

(Yes, it’s a two’fer!)

Imagine how different your life could be if you…

… had no case to plead

… no preconceived ideas to manifest

… no requirement to have all the answers ahead of time

This process starts when you commit to this (twice) monthly date with yourself!

During candlelight painting, you’ll tap into…

🕯️ An easy way to drop into your body and access your deepest truth

🕯️ A judgment-free way to express your feelings

🕯️ A new way of relating to yourself that’s reliable, regular, and ritualistic

🕯️ Getting to have the first and last “word”.

🕯️ How writing and painting can shed light on your blind spots.

🕯️ Using creativity as a spiritual practice.

🕯️ A full range of emotional expression.

What is Candlelight Painting?

Candlelight painting serves as your monthly solo adventure, a regular ritual, a container where all you have to do is show up and be present. Twice per month, close to the new moon and the full moon, we come together to create time and space to unleash your creative self.

Friday evening we gather from 6-9 pm for body-based intention setting and painting on canvas in candlelight. We do this as an invitation for our inner critics to quiet, to close the week with non-verbal processing, and prepare ourselves for deeper reflection.

Saturday morning we gather again from 9-12 noon to record our dreams, dialogue with our paintings through writing prompts, and enter back into the painting in the daylight with new insights and awareness.

Here’s what others are saying about this workshop:

“I felt a huge energetic release. I moved through a mental block that was paralyzing me during the painting process. I was left feeling like I just had a therapy session!”

Meet your Candlelight Guide

Hi, it’s Maggie Evans. I’m a somatic art therapist who helps broken-hearted women learn to trust themselves again during and after loss. I have used candlelight painting to quiet my critic, connect with my deepest truths, and safely express them. I walk the walk with you, sharing what I’ve learned and celebrating you on YOUR journey of transformation and healing.

Why is Candlelight Painting so powerful?

Once you experience the freedom from needing to make sense or having to organize, refine, and explain yourself, you start caring less about what others think and more about what your intuition is telling you in any given moment.

This is a place to find YOUR truth, not what your boss, sister, mom, partner, or neurotypical culture says is right. This is a place where you slay the shoulds and unleash your creative power.

🕯️ You get to have the first and last “word”.

🕯️ There are no rules except the ones you make yourself, and even those can be broken.

🕯️ You can fall apart onto the canvas.

🕯️ It gets to be raw and messy, literally.

🕯️ No one is going to critique or criticize, or even give feedback

🕯️ Come here knowing that each woman you see is also craving this too.
